Suñu Tool

Suñu Tool

A country guesthouse, a stone's throw from Bandia

Suñu Tool is first of all a name you will find on jam jars: the house makes its own jams and fruit juices, depending on the harvest, and that is what you find on the breakfast table. The rest follows the same home-rather-than-hotel logic: five rooms, a garden, a reception desk and a security guard.

The three Standard rooms sleep two in a double bed. The Suite and the Family Suite each sleep up to six: the format for families and small groups. The Standard rooms and the Suite have their own bathroom, TV and wifi; there is no air conditioning — two fans per room do the job. No pool either: here, you come for the peace and quiet and the proximity to the coast, not for the sun lounger.

Rooms are offered room only, and breakfast is extra, on request: eggs, pastries, fresh bread, cheese, yogurt, the house's jams and juices, coffee or tea. The house has a restaurant and room service. Parking, a security guard and wifi complete the picture. A resident rate is available on request for the Standard room.

Check-in is from 8 a.m., check-out at 10 a.m. Children and pets are accepted, and parties are possible. The house can organize excursions with a guide, and cleaning is provided.

Suñu Tool suits families and groups of friends who want one large shared room, travelers flying in or out of Blaise Diagne airport who want to avoid Dakar, long stays, and Dakar residents looking for a weekend in the countryside without spending two hours on the road.

Where Suñu Tool is located

The house is in Sindia, in the Babel neighborhood, in the hinterland of the Petite Côte, between the national highway and the coast. You are not on the beach, but the sea is never far away.

From Dakar, allow about an hour by highway: leave on Friday evening and have dinner on site. From Blaise Diagne International Airport, fifteen to twenty minutes, which makes it a good first or last night of a trip.

Nearby, from closest to furthest: the Bandia reserve and its animals, a few minutes away; Popenguine, with its nature reserve and cliffs; the Somone and its lagoon; Ngaparou and its beaches; and Saly for restaurants and nights out, about half an hour away.
