It is the largest room in the house, and the only one of its kind: up to six people in one room, with a private bathroom and views over the river and the mangroves. Like the others, it has no air conditioning or television. For a family or a small group, it is the simplest way to stay together on the island.

Breakfast is included for everyone. The bar-restaurant on stilts serves local and international food, with vegetarian options, and room service is available. The garden and the shared terrace overlook the mangroves, swimming is in the bolong, children and pets are accepted, and parties are allowed.

Around. Mar Lodj is reached by pirogue from Ndangane, on the mainland. From Dakar, allow about three hours' drive to the landing stage, then the crossing; from Blaise Diagne airport, about two hours to Ndangane.
