The house has two rooms of this type: a double bed, a private bathroom and views over the river and the mangroves. No air conditioning, no television, no private terrace: the room is for sleeping, the day is spent outdoors. It is the choice for couples who come for the island and the silence rather than hotel comfort.

Breakfast is included. The bar-restaurant on stilts serves local and international food, with vegetarian options, and room service is available. The garden, the shared terrace facing the mangroves and swimming in the bolong do the rest. Check-in between 1 p.m. and 8 p.m., check-out between 8 a.m. and 11 a.m.

Around. La Cabane Rasta is on Mar Lodj, an island in the Sine Saloum Delta reached by pirogue from Ndangane. From Dakar, allow about three hours' drive to the landing stage, then the crossing: well suited to a long weekend for two.
